In Aligned Movement

Let's Begin

So often, after a day's work - whether you're driving a vehicle or working in an office, you might feel tired, achy, or even in pain. At that point, doing something healthy for the body might seem too daunting or out of the question. Here it's helpful to realize the physiological principle that our bodies adapt to what we do most often - not to our best intentions. Even if we were to exercise for an hour before or after our work, it really isn't enough to offset the amount of time spent in the environment we put our bodies in most of the day. That environment is most often... A Chair - whether at the office or in a vehicle.

In this series, I'd like to illustrate what the chair is doing to our body to pull us out of alignment which might be the source of our aches and pains. Then, we'll explore ways to modify how we sit as well as practice exercises to re-align our body.

My hope is you'll regain the ability to move more freely so that you can live more fully both in and out of the vehicle.
