The Journey of Mind-Body Integration: Yoga for Movement Disorders
This course was originally designed as a yoga program for those with Movement Disorders.
Yoga is a process for bringing the whole person (body, mind, and spirit) into union (or balance). In this program we focus on physical postures and breathing techniques. The postures develop balance and body awareness as well as increase strength and range of motion. The breathing techniques greatly effect our relaxation response as well as develop the awareness of the mind-body connection. Both postures and breath guide you toward deeper clarity of mind and a sense of well being. It is my hope that you approach this program with a sense of play and through this exploration, you develop a deeper meaning of balance in your life.
This program includes 7 videos - each exploring aspects and progressions of your yoga practice, and a downloadable audio version of a guided meditation. It also includes a downloadable pdf on a holistic plan for life including yoga, exercise, nutrition, lifestyle, and the concept of play.
