(This is Part 3 of a 3 part series)
Stability is the ability to remain still or to move with fluidity and control in any position we find ourselves. In actuality we are always in motion, but when we achieve stability the motions that continually correct our balance become so nuanced that we appear to be still.
The more stable we are in our bodies the more effiicient and effective we can be in our stance, our walking, and all our activities. Stability is largely a matter of coordination and motor control between our numerous parts working together.
In this final session of the series, we’ll take a closer look at some principles of alignment and what those tell us about how our feet, ankles, hips, and core all work together to bring about better stability. We’ll use this work to explore how it applies while playing with our balance and walking.
(Registration is for the 3 class series. If you cannot make a session, a recording of the event will be made available)
