Walking and Problem Solving
Walking is an essential part of Wayfinding - which is a term that simply means finding your way through your life. Thinkers, artists, and philosophers throughout the ages have found "eureka" moments of inspiration while walking. The body moves alternating between the left and right feet which are coordinated by the left and right halves of the brain. There's something about that alternation that may be part of making new connections with ideas, thoughts, and even emotional wellbeing. So, next time you're dealing with a problem or question you can't seem to solve, put it into the back of your mind and go out for a walk!
