Put Simply, balance is not falling. However for many of us, the problem becomes that we lose our ability to quickly make postural adjustments as we age. As we begin to feel less secure in our balance, it affects how capable we feel to participate in activities, such as hiking, but it also affects our daily activities, such as walking down the street, without worry of injuring ourselves when we step off the curb.
This one hour class will lead you through some of the foundational moves found in the book Dynamic Aging.
We will be working through six simple exercises, mostly posture adjustments and stretches, all of which can be scaled to your particular strength and mobility.
Having read the book is not necessary for participation, although this class might inspire you to check out the book!
This class is a great primer and taste for what we’ll do in the 3 class series on Falling, Balance, and Stability coming up in May!
So come check it out and discover some simple exercises and habits for keeping your balance strong for life!
